Description of project

The proposed project is a result from the analyzation of the social and physical experience of Vicenza’s rivers. Relating the existing context, we unveiled a fractured pedestrian system with an inconsistent fabric of connectivity with the citta periphery. Therefore, formulation of a network of interventions designed to become the connection between the historical center of Vicenza to the urban periphery utilizing and engaging the river edge. The site and project becomes the catalyst for the unification of the two conditions. Program and function of the building is to introduce a institute of culinary arts with pubic spaces for social interaction. The form is derived form the existing nature and artificial landscapes in addition to the site’s immediate adjacencies.
